TED the BiPed Core Code


After building my TED the BiPed (http://letsmakerobots.com/node/35632) and seeing K120189's BoB (http://letsmakerobots.com/node/35865) model take off with the 3D printer members along with a few questions in the ShoutBox about how to code a mini walker I figured I'd share my own version of a "delay-free" core code used on most of my bots. Maybe it will help someone get started at least and more likely someone will re-code it and share their better version. I use the same basic code for the rollers and the walkers but first the disclaimer:

Good Robot Controller?

Ok I am planning on building a "small" humanoid robot that can has computer vision and can do many tasks. I am planning on using a small onboard computer to do all the processing so that it can be autonomous and reduce the need to have another computer on for it to work. Anyway I am looking for a small, not expensive, and easy to use, some what powerfull small computer or single board computer that has usb ports,can run off a small battery and can run lunix. I am thankful for all suggestions.

Help on traction for a biped

I am currently working on what is my second robot project.  It is a simple biped.  It relies heavily on balancing itself on one foot for walking.  The feet are cut sheets of PVC and are giving me some slipping when it walks.  I was wondering if anyone had some suggestions for something to give it a little more traction when it walks but with out making it too sticky.  I am hoping to have some more details and pictures or video up next week if anyone needs more information.  Thanks.

Arduino biped code

I'm building a 4 servo biped robot, but I barely know any arduino. I just need a code for this bit to walk and then I could learn off that code for future robots. Thanks if you can help.

Biped robot

Okay. If you know i am building cheap 4-DOF biped.
If you want to know what would it be,it's going to be like EasyBotics Easy Biped :O 

I got some ideas and i ordered 4x Hextronik HXT900 servos.
Next thing i buy is PCB making things and PicAxe 14M. 
I make chassis when i get some plastic sheets.
But i can tell you some things:
- It has a homemade IR sensor
- And led eyes
- I can modify it easy to walk and avoid obstacles or be a sumo or dance
- I may add an IR receiver to remote control mode
