I need your suggestions and recommendations.

What if I were to buy a fancy camera for a robot? I want it to be able to do pretty much everything. And still fit on my robot.

Let's see first what "everything" means. This list can grow as you make suggestions in the comments.

I am the proud owner of an uBotino board by Robot-x. I do not own a USB-to-Arduino cable (FTDI with auto-reset). However, I do own computers with good old fashioned serial ports.

So I think I'm gonna build a serial programming circuit. Would the classic "Picaxe" level-correcting schematic work in this case?

That's:
* a voltage divider to shift down the signal from my PC from ca 11V to 5V;
* a series resistor in both data lines to limit current;

You know our Components section right? Most of the components in that database are automatically imported from a few vendors who are friendly enough to allow us access to their databases. Each time a new component is added to a vendor's catalog, our server imports it into ours. Changes in details like description and price are also automatically updated.

Google and Youtube keep haunting me for my dead projects. Today I was found by an editor for Gakken's magazine "Otona no Kagaku" (Grownup's Science). The magazine's upcoming January issue will have a Theo Jansen theme. Jansen apparantly is very big in Japan. The magazine includes a miniature, wind powered model of a strandbeest.
