I was obsessed with robotics for a while, but had tons of trouble with picaxe. In the midst of that trouble, I discovered the reprap ( reprap.org ) project. I am currently building one and afterwards may come back to building robots, especially since 3D printers can make easy gearboxes and motor chasses.
