How to display 2010 on this 7 Seg Display?

TOTAL_Noob's picture

Hey again >.< I have an issue with this segment display it is serial but all it does is flash really fast.

In the above image you can see the reset switch, the power and ground and rx to the atmega 7 seg display

the rx runs directly to pin 0 out on the 28x2 picaxe

In this image above you can see the wire-colors comming from the atmega 7 seg display

PICAXE28X2 - PIC18F2520 Resonator problem?

TOTAL_Noob's picture

Hey as you can see the problem bellow is the resonator, you guessed it? i dunno where to put it or even know which pin is which.

As you can see it says it needs a resonator on pind 9 and 10, but its a 3 pin resonator which came with the chip, so how does it work?

pin 0v

pin 9 - resonator

pin10 - resonator

or

pin 9 - resonator

PIC to Ligicator - Serious noob here

TOTAL_Noob's picture

Hey all, ive just received quite a few componants tho i dont know what most of them do, i am learning about the datasheets of each peice that i have tho, i just need to know a few things and any support i can get to get this thing rolling...

Processors i have:

uM-FPU coprocessor (V2) // PICAXE-08M microcontroller // PICAXE-18X microcontroller //PICAXE 28X2 microcontroller

my goal is to interface with the program called "logicator" so i can see the code and learn from it and eventually code my own output

i have:
