I2C Address Question

Hello !

I have decided to jump into I2C after dragging my feet for a couple years..

My question revolves around wanting to get 24+ 7 Segment LED drivers (http://www.adafruit.com/products/879#Description) on the same I2C bus..

As far as I can tell I2C (from a RasPi) supports 7 bit addresses ....  128 devices WOOHOOOO !

Requesting Info from 3D Printer Gurus

Hello LMRarians,

I can't wait any longer, I have to commit to get a 3D Printer.
I have seen all the Printer Guru's create their own versions from RepRap or purchase Makerbot or other systems and create amazing parts.

I was wondering if I could get a summarised list of Pros & Cons from experts who have created or used these marvelous devices.

Hopefully, someday soon I'll be able to join the Richard Gear family !

Anyone found the "Wii Camera" as a part?

Hi all,

I was just wondering if anyone has found the wii camera as a part?  I found the original company manufacturer at one point, but I have a feeling that their contract with Nintendo means they will not sell their camera as a "part".  If I remember they had other models.

It would be nice if there was a "very" inexpensive camera on the same lines as a wii, but even possibly skewed to 620 nm instead of IR - so that it would be matched with a common key-chain laser..

Need Guru Help Regarding Micro-Controller + Wireless

Hello !
What is the most inexpensive, yet stable robust and relatively fast micro-controller + wireless setup?

I have been asking this question to myself for way too long... Now, I'm curious of your experiences in the different flavors available..

In my specific situation talking back and forth to a computer or laptop would be the primary objective.

QBO - Uses Dynamic Haar Training - much like Predator & Kinect Training

Here is the 3rd example I've seen, (and I'm sure more to come) of dynamic Haar training and Bag Of Words association.  It seems the little bot is not being sold right now, but I see the drool from the sidelines

I'm pretty close to getting dynamic Haar training in MRL... although I'll be using the Kinect or interactive selection vs stereo cameras to isolate the object for association.

Alright - this is beautiful - All you CNC people will like this....

Near Sci-Fi like in that you could imagine hundreds of them automated... cranking out parts, possibly replicating as a new life form on the Sahara :)   Theo Jansen would approve...
