WTC - Think I kill my Wild Thumper Controller

Well, I'm using a WTC just about a year. I use it controlled by another arduino via I2C, made some changes in original code to it, and ok, works very well.

Recently WTC stop receive and trasmit data, so I tried to burn the diagnostic, but I received a "avrdude: stk500_getsync(): not in sync: resp=0x00" message.

WTC - 5v output

I'm start using the 5v output from Wild Thumper Controller to feed a wi-fi camera.

The camera use a maximum of 2A, and the WTC manual sais this output may feed 5A (ok, in servos, but I think I can use to power other devices). However, when I start the motors(I measured about 12A), the camera "reboots", seems like low power.

That's normal in WTC, or may I do something wrong?

I don't think it's a battery problem, I'm use a 7.4v LiPo tagged as 30C.

Hi, I'm working on a HTTP controlled robot ( http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5xNUsHhzaBU ), but I have a question about Wild Thumper Controller.

Lets say, for example, I don't want use "current sensor", and i simply set up Leftmaxamps and Rightmaxamps to a number that motors never reach or strip out the protection code from my project. May the position of VR1 and VR2 clog or put down the performance or de current delivery?

Is there a way to switch the 5v Output on/off via software?


Recharging batteries with Wild Thumper Controller

Maybw it's a dumb question, but i'm afraid to "burn" the circuit :D.


I have a ni-mh array (7.2v total) in +Bat/-Bat. Works fine...

May I use a 12v SLA Batery CONTINUOUSLY(never unplug, even when motors running) in the 2A recharge socket to recharge the 7.2v array?

And the motor controller run at +bat/-bat voltage, or the recharge socket make influence in output voltage for motors?



Programming Wild Thumper Controller

Well, I'm building a Internet Controlled Robot. Just before I ask, let me show the prototype:


This prototype have a dual 2A driver linked to a Arduino Mega, ethernet shield and stuff.


Now I bought a 6wd Wild Thumper chassis and a Wild Thumper controller. I saw it's an arduino nano compatible and has a RC receiver code built in.
I don't understand how the input in D0 and D1 works.
Has anyone changed the RCmode() function to operate with PWM input instead these "1500" value of RC?
