I am a Windows developer with 16 years by trade mostly doing backend development the past few years. I have worked all over the stack though and feel comfortable doing most anything including now embedded development to some degree. As time goes by, I am getting more and more into software architecture and security which gets me away from coding. I do robotics as a hobby and it is so different from what I do professionally that I really enjoy the opportunity to put together something physical and see it run around.
My goal this year is to learn ROS and take advantage of some of the packages that give a lot of the very complex robot behaviors such as SLAM etc. I have already gotten pretty far but have a ways to go.
