As soon as I saw this video, I thought of Gareth, how he would add colors and make cool things out of it.

But then another thought came to mind, what if we could make a machine (like an expresso caffee machine) that used the proper ingredients to make plastic filament for a 3D printer? Now THAT would be cool!


LMR Robotic Online Football (Soccer)

I decided to resuscitate the LMR soccer game using my new µBipedino robots. The game will play as it was originally discussed, just with different players. These new robots can run around for about an hour on a fresh charge (when a Bluetooth module is attached), so the game will consist of 2 halves of 30 minutes each.

4 OS-es at once on a Beagle Board...

Wow, the guys from Always Innovating are amazing! They managed to run 4 operating systems at once on a Beagle Board (and on the Touch Book and Smart Book tablets): Android, Ubuntu, Chrome OS and AIOS. By pressing the User Button on the Beagle Board you can switch between the started OS-es. Why would you need that? I have no idea, but I find it cool!

Samsung announces new depth and image camera sensor in a single unit

At ISSCC 2012 Samsung announced a new sensor that is capable to measure depth besides taking RGB images. The depth data is 480x360 with 1% acuracy out to 5m. The RGB data is 1920x720 and the sensor operates at 20MHz. For more details, reat this link:

Here is an article about EcoBot robots that use microbes found in soil, water and rotten fuit to generate their energy need to go about doing their daily activity. At the end of the day they actually crap their waste out in a litter box. Seems the robots are about to go green and off-grid, who are we waiting for?
