3D Printed Logobot?

I haven't jumped onto the 3D printing bandwagon yet, but I know a lot of you have.

I was thinking, wouldn't it be super cool to have a 3D printable version of our beloved Logobot?

It would be a fun project, and a great little printed object to test your printers, give as gifts, or make up for events like Maker Faire.

Instructables Hands-On Learning Contest -Picaxe Maker Faire Special

Hey all. Instructables is running a Hands-On Learning Contest. Some folks might be interested in making an entry.

I've entered the Picaxe Maker Faire Special Robot kit that Chris the Carpenter and I are designing into the contest. You can Vote For It using the banner link at the top of the Instructable. Any votes would be appreciated.

Send your robot to Maker Faire

Can't make it to Maker Faire this year?

Maybe your robot can!

Last year, quite a few people sent their robots to me to be displayed at Maker Faire. They were a big hit! I even made up some shirts to thanks some of the folk that sent robots from far away.

Vote for my Club Jameco Project

I submitted a project to Club Jameco. If the project is approved, Jameco will produce and sell it as a kit, and I'll get a commission fee based on sales. Yay, money.

It's based on a design I came up with years ago. Pressing buttons and moving switches turns the lights on. Which button and switch does what changes based on how you have the switches set. It's a fun little toy.

LMR Donor Drawing II

As most of you know, we are planning another robotically-selected drawing to pick winners for our five LMR Donation donor prizes.

Crossed the streams! Now FetaDuino is damaged!

I was thrilled to get my hands on a FetaDuino from Rocket Brand Studios. Only now I think I have damaged it.

I was wiring in a swich on the GPIO pins. I had the switch wired to a 3-pin header, with the switch common going to the signal line, normally connected (NC) going to +5V, and normally open (NO) going to GND.

 NC <-> +5V

What to get with my Dangerous Prototypes Free Coupon?

Over a month ago I won a coupon for a free PCB from Dangerous Prototypes. They give a chance to win a free PCB coupon three times a week on their blog page, on Facebook and on Twitter. Once in a while I make a random comment to try to win, and finally I did.

Now what the heck should I buy? I'm really having a hard time deciding.
