Cool Arduino Library for driving servos!

I don't know if you guys already knew about these 2 very useful library to drive servo motors from the arduino, basicly you don't need to use analog write with an hexadecimal value to drvie the servo by PWM, you just write in degrees the angle and direction you wish the servo to go and it goes!

Anyway here it is :

Micro engineering system LAB X-1

I have two LAB X-1 at home, i had them for like 6 months, and I didn't know what they were, anyway it turns out to be a serial PIC Devboard with LCD and ZIF sockets, I was just looking to get an AVR ISP (USBtinyISP),  but I found these, do you know any free program and tutorial I could use with it ?  That maybe a dumb question but again PIC or AVR ?

P.S. Sorry if I am in the wrong forum section, since I dont know anything about PIC / PICAXE

Arduino + 9.6 Volt NiMh Battery

Just a simple question, can i power the Arduino with a 9.6 volts battery?

Will the .6 volt fry the Arduino ?

problems with L293D + Arduino

I wired up a L293D to my arduino, planning to run 2 motors with it, and just for testing I runned the blinkie program on it changing the LEDpin to the to the digital pin that goes to the l293d but only half of the pin works, like it turns in only one direction. Is it normal ?

It's 4 in the morning so I did not do a lot of trouble shooting, just changed the pins that were on PWM to digital, it didn't changed anything.

Building plans for the tamiya tiwn motor gearbox

I built my gearbox in the wrong configuration, it was 3 months ago and I lost it... Does anyone have a JPEG a PDF or anything else of the plan for that gearbox ?

70097

Tamiya part number.

I can't manage to run my arduino on Vista.

I Just got my arduino form the mail, plugged it in my computer followd the instruction given on Aruino.cc, i'm saldy "a Pc living with vista" to quote the apple Ad, and I cannot install driver manually, I plugged my arduino in my pc, a "new hardware found"popped, it searched the drivers automatically, "succesfully" installed them, then, nothing. I can't do anything.

Btw, yes the arduino program is installed.

Also, I have Ubuntu in dual boot but I'm pretty much new to it.

IR Versus Ultrasonic rangefinder on grass.

Hi, I'm pretty much new to robotic, even though I've worked with kit like fischertechnik and Lego NXT.

I know the base of it, and i'm good with electronics.

but here it is i want to build plane that coud fly by itself using rangefinder (Ir or ultrasonic) to keep a distance from the ground, but i've read that IR sensor aren't good outside and that ultrasonic doesn't work good on absorbant material (Grass).

Since it's a plane I also have to consider weight in my choice.

Wich sensor would be the best for this task ?
