Blogs: 025 year old from Florida in the United States. I Work for an IT company. I have alot of experience in construction and building. Ive always have had great interest and apptitude for electronics and physics. Always wanted to build a robot as a kid. I used to take apart my toys as a kid and try and make something better (not always sucessful, but learned alot that way)
One time while being bored, i took and welded a chainsaw motor to a bicycle. I Welded on a bike gear onto the chansaw clutch. It never actually ran right because the gearing was just to extreme, the ratio was way off it had no power and would of been dangerous had i ever tried getting it going ( saw going downhill then trying to start it while rolling quite fast )
Im not a stranger to fabricating and building things out of wood, and i think that will be my first attempt with a robot will be some kind of light weight wood (balsa?) and try and make something nearly human sized.
This site is awesome and i hope to be able to learn as well as contribute in any way possible.
